Popular Montana Town Named Best In U.S. For Drinking Water
I grew up in the 80's and had the best of both worlds. We still played outside and rode our bikes all over town, but we also enjoyed video games at home and watching music videos with our friends.
Let's say things have changed over the last few decades.
One of the things we did that I feel probably wouldn't go over well now is to drink straight from the water hose. If we were outside playing and were hot, we would turn on the hose, get ourselves a cold drink, and then go back to whatever we were doing.
Nowadays, that could be frowned on. A lot of folks won't even drink water from the tap, never mind out of a garden hose. When my Dad was still alive he was amazed that people would pay money to buy bottled water. He thought it was the most ridiculous thing ever.
While I don't hold his strong opinions on the matter and enjoy bottled water regularly, I'm also not afraid to drink water from the tap.
I'm not sure what is behind the whole "tap water is bad for you" craze other than some mega-marketing firm coming up with the idea to sell more products, but according to a source, one Montana town has some of the cleanest water in the country.
Which Montana town has some of the best-tasting and cleanest water in America?
According to the American Water Works Association (AWWA), some of the cleanest and best-tasting water in the country is in Bozeman, Montana. Bozeman took the honor a few years back of having the 3rd best water in the United States according to the AWWA.
Is there a secret to the water in Bozeman?
According to one source at the city's water treatment plant, they don't add as much chlorine as other areas. I can't speak for you, but fewer chemicals in my water seems like a good idea.
While this might not deter the most dedicated bottled water drinkers out there, it looks like a glass of water from the tap, or even a sip from the hose won't hurt you after all.
