Now that it's full blown tourist season, we are seeing hundreds of thousands of folks coming to Montana for vacation.

Of course, while they're here they'll want to do "Montana" things like go hiking, floating, rafting, fishing, and maybe attend a rodeo or two. We all know that the big attractions are both Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park. Opinions vary, but to me it's not even close, Glacier is way better.

READ MORE: A few ways to help tourists visiting Montana

So, if you are one of the many tourists who are reading this and you want to fit in, there are a few things you need to do.

  • Make sure you buy yourself a cowboy hat. All Montanans wear them, and one of those cheap one's wont do. A quality hat is what you want.
  • Same goes with boots. How can you fit in Montana if you aren't wearing a fine pair of cowboy boots? You will find several stores here that sell them in all shapes and sizes. You'll want to make sure you get a pair for everyone in the family.
  • A big belt buckle. Listen, you've got the hat, and you've got the boots. The only thing you need to complete the outfit is the big belt buckle. You don't want to look out of place do you?
  • A National Park or Montana-themed shirt. You can't come to Montana and not buy a t-shirt or two. You'll need one for whatever National Parks you visited, and you'll need one that's just Montana based. How are people going to know you visited Montana if you don't have a shirt to prove it?

While the list continues, the above is a great start. Now, remember, before you go home, you'll want to make sure that you bring gifts. That's why you need to stock up on Huckleberry products to take home.
