Winter Weather Expected To Ring In the New Year

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Gallatin, Madison and Beaverhead Counties from 6 p.m. Tuesday evening through 11 p.m. Wednesday.

With this advisory we can expect:

• 1 to 3 inches of snow possible
• 7 tp 12 inches of snow predicted for mountains
• Slippery road conditions
• Areas of blowing snow
• Low visibility
• Difficult travel especially for mountain passes

The National Weather Service has also issued a High Wind Warning for the Livingston Area and Beartooth foothills Tuesday morning through Wednesday night. The strongest wind gusts are expected tonight with gusts up to 80 mph.  Winds are expected to consistently gust from 60 to 70 mph.
