The press release stated the following:
The Sherriff's Office arrived on the scene and located a victim who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was transported to Bozeman Health for treatment and later discharged. The release went on to say that it was an active investigation and that at that they would not be releasing names until all arrests warrants are served.
Of course this didn't stop folks from taking to social media to give their opinions and "unconfirmed" facts on the case. However, it should be noted that when following this crime, or any other, it is important to let the officials do their job.
What's happening in Belgrade?
Belgrade has seen an increase in crime over the last few years and some credit that to the town growing. Belgrade is one of the fastest growing cities in Montana and it seems that as the population increases, so does the crime rate.

The Gallatin Country Sheriff's Office thanked the Belgrade Police, the Montana Highway Patrol, plus local fire and emergency for all of their efforts. It should be noted that at the time of this writing, the suspect is still at large. Anyone with information is asked to call law enforcement.
