
Belgrade Residents Evacuated After Bomb-making Materials Found
Just outside of Bozeman, is the town of Belgrade.
Not only is Belgrade one of the fastest growing towns in Montana, according to statistics, it's also one of the safest. However, some residents might disagree after the latest incident that occurred Tuesday Evening, June 2nd.

According to a press release from the Gallatin Country Sherriff's Department, an evacuation order was put into place for residents after officers went to deliver a warrant and noticed bomb making materials at the residence.
The residents of the Mantle Drive area where asked to leave their homes while law enforcement inspected the surroundings. At the time of the evacuation, residents were told that if they didn't have a place to go, the library in Belgrade was an option.
Why were parts of Belgrade evacuated?
The press release stated the following:
At approximately 7 p.m., deputies with the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office were serving a warrant at the residence when they located the suspected materials. Out of an abundance of caution, nearby homes were evacuated by personnel from the Belgrade Police Department and Gallatin County Sheriff's Office
The press release also stated that a suspect had been taken into custody.
According to the Belgrade Police Facebook Page, an all clear was given late last night with the following statement being posted:
The scene on Mantle Drive has been cleared, and roads in the area have reopened. Residents may now return to their homes. This incident remains under investigation. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
