Snow For the Weekend; Winter Storm Watch Issued

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Gallatin, Beaverhead and Madison counties Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon.

With this advisory we can expect:

• Heavy snow possible
• 2 to 6 inches of snow possible for the valleys
• Up to 10 inches of snow for the upper elevations
• Strong winds
• Patchy blowing snow
• Slippery road conditions
• Low visibility
• Difficult travel especially for mountain passes

The National Weather Service has also issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Jefferson and Broadwater counties noon Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday. They are calling for snow accumulations of 2”-5” is possible with 8” or more for higher elevations.
