[UPDATE] Remains Found During Search For Missing Montana Girl

It was with absolute sadness that I read, that the remains found earlier this month, just outside of Sidney, Montana, were in fact those of Katelynn Berry. Even if our gut told us that there was a good chance they could be, our hearts yearned with hope for the family, that they would not be.

You may recall an earlier article I did regarding 26 year old, Katelynn Berry. As the family and friends of Berry continued with prays and hope, and an increased reward of $25,000, the family receive news today that was not what they were hoping for.

A search was scheduled for today near Sidney, Montana, where Berry resided and was last seen. Shortly into the search, the party had located remains of what looked to be human. The remains have been sent to Billings for confirmation of identity of the remains.

Considering the remains have yet to be positively identified as Berry's, the family will continue to grasp on to the little bit of hope they have left. We also pray for the family of Katelynn Berry.

There is never a day that passes that will make any day easier when searching for a loved one. The outpour of support and volunteers that have helped with this missing girl case, is inevitably profound.

Saturday the 22nd of January the MSU Bobcats Women's Basketball team will be bringing awareness to,  "Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women". They ask that you wear RED to the game.

I ask that we bring as much attention, nationally and locally to the missing women in our state and do as much as we can as a team to find answers. The national media may stop looking for these women, but the families, friends, and loved ones of the missing do not. Let's keep ourselves updated, educated, and aware.
