Montana Parents: Check Your Pantry for This Recalled Baby Food
There are always food recalls popping up in the news. Most of the time, it's something we glance at and move on. But when you hear the words baby food and recall in the same sentence, that's when it really grabs your attention.
It's one thing when snacks or frozen meals are affected, but when it involves something made specifically for babies, it just hits different. We tend to perk up, listen a little closer, and ask: what happened, and is it serious?

I'd consider this one pretty serious. A Target brand of baby food products tested positive for elevated levels of lead and is having a National recall.
The product being recalled is Good & Gather baby Pea, Zucchini, Kale & Thyme Vegetable Puree. Target issued a voluntary recall on March 12 for 25,600 units. If you would like to see the official Food and Drug Administration (FDA) report you can check it out HERE.
How Do You Know If It's in Your Pantry?
Here's what to look for on the packaging to see if you have one of the recalled baby food products at home:
- Best By Dates: December 7, 2025, and December 9, 2025
- Lot Numbers: 4167 and 4169
- UPC: 1 91907-99314 1

Montanans, if you've been to Target recently and picked up any baby food, take a moment to check your pantry. It's a quick step that could make a big difference—especially when it comes to your little one's safety.
