Remember that thing called Montana REAL ID? Yeah, that thing. It's been floating around since 2019, and many of us shoved it into the mental junk drawer with "eventually" written on it. Well, eventually is almost here.

Starting May 7th, if you want to board a domestic flight or enter certain federal buildings with just your driver's license, you'll need to have that little gold star on it—aka the REAL ID. Without it, you'll be turned away at TSA like it's an exclusive club and you're not on the list.

So whether you're a frequent flyer, a federal contractor, or just someone who likes to be prepared, now's the time to stop putting it off. That deadline isn't moving—and waiting until the last minute might just leave you grounded. Unless you want to carry your Passport around.
