MSU is giving Dr. Paul Melvin the highest honor it can, an honorary doctorate in arts from the College of Arts and Architecture.

MSU President Waded Cruzado described Dr. Melvin as a "medical pioneer who improved medical care in Montana," with new hip and knee surgery methods, "he and his wife, Terry (an artist who also graduated from MSU), have made significant and positive contributions" to MSU, contributing support that helped create the Terry and Paul Melvin Graduate Art Studio in 2001. Dr. Melvin will also deliver the charge to graduates during the May 6th afternoon ceremony.
