Montana State Football Off To It’s Best Start In Decades
There's nothing like a game under the lights at Bobcat Stadium!
Saturday's night battle between Idaho and MSU had all the makings to be a fantastic game. Not only was it a conference game, but both teams were ranked in the Top 10. It was a beautiful fall Bozeman night and while the Cats walked away with the victory, the truth is, the game wasn't even close.
From the beginning of the game until the end, In a dominant performance, Montana State improved to 7-0 on the season.]
When was the last time the MSU Bobcats started 7-0?
According to the announcers of Saturday Night's game, you would have to go back to 1978. This weekend was "Parents" weekend and to be honest, many of the folks in attendance this weekend weren't around back in 1978, including some of the parents.
So what's left for the Bobcats? The remainder of the schedule certainly isn't a cakewalk.
For the next two games the Cats hit the road to take on Portland State (October 19th) and Eastern Washington (November 2nd). The Cats return to Bobcat Stadium to host Sac State on November 9th, then are back on the road to take on UC Davis, followed by the regular season finale which of course is "The Brawl of the Wild" which will take place in Bozeman on November 23rd.

While it's certainly too early to start talking about "undefeated seasons" and "deep runs in the playoffs" if you're a Cat fan, you have to love how the team is looking right now. They're putting points on the board, the defense is tough and right now, they're the team to beat in the Big Sky Conference.
