Famous Brands Named Most Popular In Montana, But Are They Really?

I will be the first to admit that I'm a comfort-over-fashion type of guy.

As a fat kid growing up in the 80s, I never had the chance to wear all of the cool clothes that were popular. So, while everyone else was wearing parachute pants from Merry Go Round at the mall, I was wearing Husky jeans from JC Penny.

Of course, the fashions have changed over the last few decades, however, just like back then, it seems that fashion fads are still popular across the globe, but what about here in Montana?

Montana is "Cowboy Country", so you'll find a lot of different places that sell clothing to fit that lifestyle. Stores like Murdoch's specialize in making sure farmers, ranchers, or anyone that works outdoors have the gear they need to get them through whatever might come their way and do a great job doing so.

Plus, you can't go wrong with a cowboy hat, pressed Wranglers, a pearl button shirt, and a good pair of boots if you're heading to the rodeo and the dance after, right?

However, it seems that those Montanans looking for the finer things in life like their clothing a little more expensive.  According to research done by Chrono24, a luxury watch website, when it comes to luxurious name brands, we Montanans have our favorites.

So which brands made the Top 5?

Well, according to the data, it seems that Montanans enjoy a mix of high-dollar outdoor wear along with high fashion brands that have been around for decades. Let's have a look, shall we? Here are the most searched brands for luxurious name brands by Montanans.

• The North Face
• Louis Vuitton
• Balenciaga
• Gucci

I'll be honest, there are a couple names on that list that I can't even pronounce and while I do have friends that have some items from Patagonia and North Face, I don't think I know anyone that owns any of the bottom three.

I don't have the proof, but I'm wondering if maybe some of these searches are coming from folks that aren't full-time residents and maybe have a vacation home or two here or live in one of the fancy gated communities that require special access to enter.
