Winter Weather Advisory Brings Freezing Rain

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Gallatin, Jefferson, Central and Southern Lewis and Clark, Broadwater, and Meagher Counties until 11 a.m. Wednesday morning.

With this advisory we can expect:

• Slippery road conditions
• Areas of freezing rain
• Falling temperatures could lead to particularly icy road surfaces
• Difficult travel especially for mountain passes
• Windy conditions

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is also under an Airport Advisory through mid to late morning.  The freezing rain on exposed surfaces could effect air travel.

The storm is expected to move out by late morning and bring sunshine by Wednesday afternoon.
