This past weekend PBR rider Jess Lockwood was back at it and riding at the PBR in Billings after suffering an injury earlier this year. One would never have known he hasn't ridden since March after watching him grab an 84 point ride Friday night on One For The Money.

Lockwood, from Volborg, Mont., was recently cleared to ride at the Unleash The Beast event in Billings after he suffered a major injury on March 1st in Kansas City, Missouri. On the dismount he caught his spur on the bull's flank tearing his hamstring away from the bone.  He has missed months of action, but the two-time World Champion is currently the No. 3-ranked bull rider in the world according to the PBR.

After his ride in Billings Friday night, Lockwood flung "his helmet across the arena for his trademark celebration in front of the largest ovation of the night from the socially distanced crowd."  Watch Lockwood's ride below.

Many would say Lockwood doesn't stand a chance at winning the world standings again, but he suffered an injury just last year to his collarbone and missed three months. Lockwood was trailing Leme, the current leading PBR rider, at the PBR Unleash The Beast World Finals in Las Vegas and was able to overcome a 749.16 point deficit at the finals to claim his second world title. If anyone can catch Leme it's going to be Lockwood.

Jess Lockwood wasn't the only Montana rider to have a great weekend in Billings. Lockwood's own little brother Jake was one of the last entries and scored an 85.25 point ride in Round 1 and finished the weekend 39th in the world standings. Also, Dakota Louis, from Browning, Mont., placed 7th overall in Billings and scored an 86.5 ride on Chili Whap in Round 1. Louis is currently ranked 33rd in the world standings and reacted to the weekend sharing with RidePass that

There’s no comparison to the Montana fans (when) you go anywhere else. I love this place.
