This year brings back one of Missoula's favorite FREE events. Starting Friday the 27th and continuing through Saturday the 28th. This free event is entertainment for the entire family! Live music will be playing while you shop, eat and enjoy the outdoors.

River City Roots Festival is one that has been continuously rising year after year making this event one that you do not want to miss. Bringing in over 15,000 people to Downtown Missoula, the city has begun to rely on the festival for an end-of-summer boost for the economy. Voted 2009's Montana Tourism Event of the Year, Montana's from all over look forward to this event.

What to expect for the kids:
Friday: Kids Rock Bands kicks off at 12:30
Saturday: Starting at 10:00 a.m., Teague Goodvoice, Double Bubble Dance Party, Missoula Irish Dancers, and Childbloom Guitar.

Food: From tacos to ice cream, to Vietnamese, there is something for everyone. And don't forget to wash it all down with some freshly squeezed lemonade.

Main Stage: With lots of musicians taking the big stage both Friday and Saturday, fan favorites like Sol Driven Train and Super Chikan will take the stage Friday, and Rapidgrass and The Lil Smokies taking the stage on Saturday.

Jewelry/Art: Danielle Muir, Jeri Marie Croteau & Tyra McDonald, Bailey Durnell, and many many more!

This event is FREE for everyone! There will be sanitizer stations throughout the event and although masks are not required, if you feel like you should wear one please do. Check out a full list of the event here!
