Some good news...residents on Deep Creek Road and Lower Deep Creek Bench Road to Return to Their Properties, effective today, September 4, 2012 8:00 a.m. UPDATE:  There will be a Community Information Meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Christian Center across from Town & Country Foods

The Pine Creek fire is 9300 acres and 5% contained.

The Millie Fire, burning about 20 miles south of Bozeman on the Gallatin National Forest, is estimated to be 9,500 acres with 0 percent containment.

Still at 10,000 acres. Cottonwood Canyon residents are being warned that they may need to evacuate, but no orders are in place yet.  This, according to the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office.

The lightning caused Mille Fire, burning 20 miles south/southwest of Bozeman, in the Storm Castle Creek drainage on the Gallatin National Forest, is about three miles east of Rat Lake near the Blanchard inholding.

Reports from the Park County Commissioner, Randy Taylor, tell that the fire is visibly put out but monitoring and surveying will continue throughout the day. Nearly 30 homes were evacuated and the officials are requesting them to not yet return to their homes. More details inside.

The fireworks caused Bear Trap fire, burning in Madison Canyon, has grown to almost 15,000 acres.
