The Gallatin County Republicans and Gallatin County Republican Women are hosting a Protect the Vote Rally on Tuesday.

Organizers of the rally are inviting people to gather at the Gallatin County Courthouse where county commissioners are scheduled to decide whether to conduct the upcoming 2020 general election by mail ballot.

What: Gather at the meeting to make your voice heard.

Where: The Gallatin County Courthouse (311 W Main St) Community Room.

When: Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

The Gallatin County Commission plans to limit the number of people that are in the Community Room for the meeting at any one time. After one person testifies and leaves the room the Commission will let another one in to testify, etc.

The meeting will also be virtual. Comments in person and online will be limited to five minutes per person.

Governor Steve Bullock issued a directive recently that gives Montana counties the option of conducting the November 3rd election by mail ballots. As part of Bullock's directive he stated:
It only makes sense that we start preparing now to ensure that no Montanan will have to choose between their vote or their health. They didn’t have to in June, and they shouldn’t have to in November.
