So, yeah. I'm vaccinated, boosted and still very careful. Yet here I am, positive for COVID-19 and VERY SYMPTOMATIC, btw. Let me take you on the tour of what has happened.
Again with the highest number of active cases and the highest number of NEW positive COVID-19 cases, Gallatin County continues to be the 'hotspot' of Montana.
Just about everyone I know, myself included, have unintentionally started a fairly large wine collection in the last couple of years. Local retailers have confirmed that Montanans have definitely spent more money on bottles of wine since the pandemic started.
It's becoming a broken record: another day, another several hundred cases of COVID-19 in Gallatin County. Of the 1,831 new cases in Montana, 503 of them are in Gallatin County.
It's becoming a regular occurrence. Gallatin County tops the State of Montana in new cases of COVID-19, and also has the highest number of current cases of all Montana counties with 835.
As of Tuesday, nearly 40% of all new positive COVID-19 cases in Montana were in Gallatin County. There are 408 active cases with 159 new cases recorded according to the State of Montana COVID-19 dashboard.
At least we're ahead of Alabama and West Virginia. While some Montanans are scrambling for their COVID-19 booster shot, so many have clearly indicated they're not interested in any shot at all.
It hasn't been a great week for Montana's new positive COVID-19 case count. With Gallatin County's vaccination rate sitting idly at 61% (which is better than many counties in the state), where do we go from here?
Out of Montana's 1,144 new cases of COVID-19, Gallatin County had 176 of them...the highest number of new cases in the state as of Thursday morning's update.
