I grew up near the mecca of the best Bar-B-Q in the world (Go Chiefs!) so to say that I've had a plate or two of smoked meat and am a bit of a Bar-B-Q snob, would be an understatement.

The truth is, Bar-B-Q is one of those foods that just seems to bring people together. It doesn't matter if it's ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, or whatever you make, Good Bar-B-Q will always put a smile on your face.  So, imagine what great Bar-B-Q could do.

Here in Montana, we have some top-notch choices when it comes to Bar-B-Q, however, according to one source, one joint is heads and tails above all others.

Traveler Door says when it comes to the best Bar-B-Q in Montana, you need to head to Emigrant and stop at Follow Yer Nose. To be honest, I don't always agree with some of these "so-called" experts, but the folks at Traveler Door nailed this one.

Follow Yer Nose has the best ribs I've ever tasted and they have a variety of different meats and sides that you most definitely need to try. Not to mention they have their rubs and sauces that you can purchase and use at home, which I'm a big fan of.

Follow Yer Nose is only open part of the year, so for those looking to make the drive, be aware that they're not open during the winter months, however, during the spring and summer months they are smokin' up world-class food.

As mentioned, several other Bar-B-Q joints across Montana are fantastic including The Notorious P.I.G. in Missoula, Bar 3 in Belgrade, Bourbon in Bozeman, Bad Betty's in Helena, and Blues BBQ in Billings.
