Mommy Memos: Playing Hooky

I am playing hooky today.  Grandma is taking Matthew, and the girls are at school.  I am going to Moonlight with three friends...really fun friends!  I NEVER do anything like this.  Fresh powder, time with the girls, a soak in the hot tub, and an icy cold beer are calling my name.  It's like I'm a little kid who found out she gets to go to Disneyland!  I think we should make today "Mom Goof Off Day."  If you can't join me on the hill, or don't think that sounds like fun, that's fine.  But do something for yourself today.  The cleaning can wait, and a little time in front of the t.v. for the little ones isn't going to ruin their future.  Throw the dirty clothes in a room and close the door.  Close the doors to the kids rooms, and make yourself a clean space and relax.  Have a glass of wine, and when your spouse comes home and asks what you did all day, tell them you took a Mom Holiday...you deserve it!
