The Yellowstone River is under a flood warning from the National Weather Service. On Wednesday morning the river was recorded at 9.1 feet and the flood stage is 10 feet.

The river will gradually rise to near flood stage Thursday and Friday afternoons and fluctuate to flood stage into the weekend. See how high the water is in the video below.

In addition, the National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for snowmelt due to high water levels along the Gallatin River.

Minor flooding is already occurring at the following locations:

  • Axtell Bridge north of Gallatin Gateway
  • Mill Road near Gallatin Gateway
  • Greek Creek Campground
