When you live in a place like Montana there are certain stereotypes that tend to take place.

How do you get to school? By horse? Do you guys even have internet there? What's it like living in the 1800s? We've heard it all before and will continue to hear it, which is fine, because I love living in Montana. And yes, we have internet, it's just extremely slow in parts.

Most people don't realize what a culinary jackpot Montana is and one of the most diverse towns for culinary creations might just surprise you.

What do you think of when you think of Butte? The truth? Well, the town has a bit of a mixed reputation. Known as a town full of no nonsense, hard working, Montanans, the folks of Butte have been known to be a little rough around the edges at times. However, Butte is also one of the most diverse towns in Montana when it comes to food.

In case you didn't know, Butte is home to the longest running Chinese Restaurant in America. Yep. The Pekin Noodle Parlor has been in operation for well over 100 years, but that's not all. There's also Matt's Place (home of the nut burger), which is considered one of the oldest drive-in's in Montana and was recently re-opened under new ownership. Of course, you have Lydia's Supper Club and multiple places that offer up a plate of corn beef and cabbage around St. Patrick's Day.

However, Butte is also home to something else delicious.

Is this the best sandwich in Butte?

Located in the Homestake Pub is what has been called "the best Reuben in Montana". I realize this is high praise, but the whole menu looks impressive. From a late breakfast to dinner, they have you covered with favorites like breakfast burritos, burgers, sandwiches, and more.

The Pub is open 7 days a week and you should know that they offer a Brunch Menu on Sunday that includes the "Full Irish Breakfast".
