The Montana State Bobcats won their last home game of the 2016 season defeating UC Davis 27-13. The Bobcats were led on Senior Day by senior Chad Newell who ran for 132 yards and 1 TD on what would be his last game in Bozeman. Freshman QB Chris Murray ran for 98 yards but threw for only 66 yards.

Overall, the Bobcats rushed for 268 yards and they had no turnovers to help them win their first Big Sky Conference game of the season. The win puts the Bobcats at 1-6 in the conference and 3-7 overall.

Next Saturday the Bobcats will travel to Missoula for the Brawl of the Wild game with the University of Montana. The Grizzlies lost to Northern Colorado on Saturday 28-25 and have struggled off and on this year. They'll go into the Cat-Griz game with a 3-4 conference record.

Game time for the Cat-Griz game next Saturday in 12 noon.
