I love burgers.

It's my favorite food. There is just something about delicious beef covered in melted cheese with my favorite toppings on a quality bun that makes me smile. Of course, there are so many options when it comes to making a burger your own. From fried eggs to peanut butter, a person can get super creative.

Now, I believe that if you have quality Montana beef, you don't need a lot of extra stuff. Just give me a patty or two, a couple slices of cheese, a bun, and I'm good to go.

Where is the biggest burger in Montana?

Back in 1999, some Montanans decided they were going to make a burger so big that it would end up in the Guinness Book of World Records.

The folks in Saco, Montana, got to work back on September 5th, 1999, and created a burger that weighed 6040 pounds and was 24 feet in diameter. How do you create a 6 thousand pound burger? First up, you need an enormous grill. The folks used a 576 square foot grill to cook the burger and drew a crowd of almost 4000 people.

Sadly, the record has since been beaten.
