Have you ever made your own cranberry sauce?

I originally found this recipe on Epicurious, and have made it a couple times. Cranberry sauce is a must at Thanksgiving, and it's a great addition to the turkey sandwiches you'll be eating for the week following Thanksgiving.

This recipe is very easy to make, and the results are delicious! It only takes about 20 mintues.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 12-0z bag of fresh or frozen cranberries (Approximately 3 cups)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh grated orange zest

Next, bring the water and sugar to a boil. Stir it until the sugar is dissolved. Add your cranberries and reduce heat to simmer. Stir ocasionally. After about 10 minutes, the cranberries will burst. Now, just stir in your orange zest and you're done. Place in the fridge to cool. After the sauce is cooled, it is ready to be served.
