Hiking is a very popular activity in the Bozeman area for a variety of reasons. First, it's great exercise. It's also a great opportunity to explore some of the beautiful scenery in the area.
If you're not a hiker, the appeal may be a difficult one to grasp. There's nothing like reaching the summit after a long hike. To be at the top, and take in breathtaking panoramic views is one of the best feelings in the world. The view from the top of the Bridger Mountain Range is incredible, but not all Bozeman residents want to put in the work and effort to experience it.
With temperatures finally beginning to warm up, many outdoor enthusiasts in the Bozeman area have been hitting the hiking trails. If you're looking to go on a good hike, you don't have to look far.
On Thursday, Belgrade resident Terry Jacobs shared some drone footage from a recent hike in the Bridgers. The footage shows conditions on and around Hardscrabble, one of the various peaks in the Bridger Mountain Range.
In a post on the Hiking Bozeman Forum Facebook page, Jacobs admits that he cheated. He didn't hike to the top of Hardscrabble. Instead, he used a drone to capture the incredible footage. The Bridger Mountains are beautiful, and thanks to the drone video, we can witness it up close and personal without having to hike to the top.
