The HRDC's Warming Center is in dire need of volunteers to help staff their overflow location at Christ the King Lutheran Church on Durston Road. There are two volunteer shifts that need filled:

Monday-Sunday, 5:00 AM - 8:00 AM shift arrives to alleviate one staff member that has worked the 9 PM to 5 AM shift. Volunteer can assist with preparing coffee for guests, initiating the wake up process, cleaning, and packing cots and bedding boxes out to our Food Bank vehicle which is parked in the parking lot. After guests are shuttled by Galavan at 7:00 AM to Salvation Army, the volunteer assists staff with final cleanup and closing up the overflow location.

9:00 PM - 12:00 AM shift arrives at the same time as one staff member so that two people are at the overflow location at all times during service hours from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The second staff member arrives to work to relieve the volunteer at midnight. During the hours of 9:00 PM to midnight, the volunteer can assist with greeting guests as they arrive by Galavan from the Warming Center, helping bring bedding and cots in from the Food Bank vehicle, setting up cots, and helping guests settle in until midnight when second staff member arrives.
