I have always wanted a miniature cow, and it seems like these days we can have whatever we want as a pet or a service animal. I was just watching TikTok the other day, and someone had an "emotional support" peacock...on a plane. I mean, that seems a little far-fetched, BUT who am I to judge.

Apparently in Montana, we humans are the minority when it comes to population. In fact, Montana has more head of beef than we actually have people. Makes sense though, right? We are an agricultural state. (God Bless our farmers.)

I grew up going to my family's farm and have been around farm animals my entire life and for some reason, I fell in love with cows. I don't question a lot of things, so I refuse to question my love for these animals.

In Montana, there are around 2.6 million head of cattle, which basically comes down to 3 head of beef for every 1 person. Honestly, this is like a little dream come true for me personally. As far as ranking for the United States, this puts Montana in the top 10 for cattle outnumbering the humans.

Considering Montana is mostly grassy hills and mountains, cattle can eat vigorously throughout the summer months and not even make a dent in the pasture. Once winter rolls around, cattle will eat the hay that has been baled for them.

Last year there was a shortage of hay. Hopefully, this year is a different story. My uncle just finished one field that he only got 97 bales out of last year with a total of 335 this year. That is a drastic change. His cows will be fat and happy, that's for sure.
