It seems like the answer differs depending on where you're from. What do you call your rig?

Last night I got into a conversation with an older gentleman at the Eagles Club. He asked me what I did for a living, and I told him I did the afternoon show on 100.7 XL Country. His response was hilarious. He asked; "Do you play that hippie music?" I laughed and told him that we play country music. Then he told me story about how he used to call into a morning show at a radio station in Kalispell and yell at them because they always called a pickup a truck. He was pretty serious about it. I told him that I've always called a truck a truck, and he insisted that I was wrong.

So, is it a pickup or a truck?
