This Montana Holiday Favorite Will Cost More Than Past Years
The Holiday season will soon be upon us, and it looks like it might cost us more than ever.
It's been reported that we can all expect to pay more this year due to inflation, rising fuel costs, and weather conditions that have affected crops. So things like your Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner might skyrocket when it comes time to purchase ingredients.
Having said all of that, it looks like we'll feel the sting of higher prices before we go looking for that perfect turkey. According to ABC News, Halloween is going to cost more this year as well.

Yep, it seems that the price of pumpkins is on the rise and that means you're going to be paying more for all of those spooky jack-o-lanterns on Montana porches this Halloween season.
ABC News says pumpkins are up almost a dollar nationally compared to prices last year, and while that might not seem like a whole lot, when you throw in the fact that everything has increased over the last several months, for many Montana families it's time to start pinching pennies.
ABC reports that the main reason for the increase is the cost of fuel, which has increased the price of pumpkins by about 20 percent.
Of course, you can already find pumpkins in almost all of the grocery stores across Montana, and there are several pumpkin patches around the state as well. From my eye, this year's crop looks pretty impressive, so if you and your family enjoy getting together to carve and decorate pumpkins, just be prepared to pay a little more this year.
