Popular Bozeman Diner Changes Ownership, What Else Will Change?
One of the things that Montanans respect and love is a mom-and pop shop.
As you travel across Big Sky Country, you'll find that there are still several places of business that are locally owned, and are putting out a product that folks have loved for decades. It's one of the things that makes Montana so unique.

Just outside of Bozeman is The Coffee Pot. It's the type of place that people swear by, in fact, if you were to ask where to get the best cinnamon roll in Montana, many would direct you there. What started out as a small pottery store back in 1980 has turned into a beloved little diner and something that has been passed down from one generation to the next, and now, it's been sold to new owners.
However, before you panic, you should know that the new owners were both born and raised here in Montana and have been friends with the Lockie family who've owned The Coffee Pot since the beginning for years.
Who are the new owners of The Coffee Pot?
William and Amanda Wittpenn have bought the restaurant portion of the business and for those wondering, the recipes will stay the same and that includes the legendary cinnamon rolls. While the Lockie family will continue to own the pottery portion of the business, their creations will still be sold in The Coffee Pot.
