Gallatin County dispatch received a report that a vehicle had left the roadway and gone into the Gallatin River on U.S. Highway 191, at mile-marker 70.
It's true. It's actually gone. As in, not part of the flowing East Gallatin River anymore due to recent flooding activity. A perfect example of Mother Nature doing whatever she wants.
A Flood Warning has been issued for the Gallatin River near Logan until further notice. An ice jam has forced the river out of its banks. No roads or homes are threatened at this time, but ice jams are unpredictable, and sudden rises in river levels could occur.
