Employees of the park have been advised to leave the area until further notice. Strong winds over the weekend helped to strengthen the fire that had previously resulted in closures to U.S. Highway 89/191/287.

Park officials are hoping that the cooler weather expected in the area will help in their efforts to contain the fire completely.
