Two Montana National Parks Make Top 10 List Of Most Visited
When it comes to national parks, some spots just know how to draw a crowd more than others. Millions of people pack their bags each year to hike, camp, and snap photos at America’s most iconic outdoor playgrounds. And guess what? Montana made the list twice. That’s right, two of our backyard treasures rank among the top ten most-visited national parks in the country.
Leading the pack overall is Great Smoky Mountains National Park, running up and down the East Coast. It’s basically the rockstar of the park system, with misty peaks and wildlife that keep it at the top of the charts year after year.
From there, the list includes stunners like Zion in Utah, Grand Canyon in Arizona, Rocky Mountain in Colorado, and Yosemite in California. All spots that deserve the hype.
But let’s circle back to Montana, because this is where things get really good. #4 Yellowstone National Park, stretching into Wyoming and Idaho but proudly rooted here too, continues to wow with geysers, hot springs, and some of the best wildlife-watching on the planet. Then there’s #10 Glacier National Park, with its icy lakes, towering peaks, and trails that feel like you’ve stepped into another world. There's a reason why Glacier is called "The Crown of the Continent." These two alone could fill a lifetime’s worth of adventures.
Also making the cut are Acadia in Maine, Olympic in Washington, and Grand Teton in Wyoming. Together, these ten parks are a reminder that whether you’re chasing waterfalls, mountains, or photo ops, there’s no shortage of jaw-dropping views to go around.

Montana locals already know: when you’ve got Yellowstone and Glacier in your backyard, you’re sitting on some of the best the nation has to offer.
