Beartooth Basin proudly claims the title of "The only strictly summer ski area in the nation." Located about 23 miles south of Red Lodge, Montana, off Highway 212, this unique ski spot sits at a breathtaking 10,000 feet in elevation.

When Will Beartooth Basin Be Open?

Unfortunately, in 2024, Beartooth Basin couldn't open due to a lack of snowfall, disappointing many eager skiers hoping to extend their winter fun. But this year, thanks to some solid snowfall, they've announced an opening window from May 26 to July 6—snow and weather permitting!

How Much Does It Cost To Ski At Beartooth Basin?

As we know, ski passes these days can be outrageous, but you're not going to have to worry about that here. The only thing you need to remember is that it's old school at Beartooth, and they only accept cash or checks on location. You CAN purchase online with a card.

  • Full-Day Lift Ticket - $50
  • Half Day (12-3 pm) Lift Ticket - $40 (as space permits)
  • Season Pass- $395

Also! They are limiting daily ticket sales to a max of 100 guests per day. So plan ahead!

With limited crowds, breathtaking views, and the chance to ski well into summer, Beartooth Basin offers a truly unique experience for those who just can't say goodbye to winter.
