Montana’s Most Mispronounced Towns Isn’t A Short List.

Montana is a big state with lots of small towns and some of those towns aren't the most easy to pronounce, especially if you're not a local.

My advice?

If you're new to Montana, make sure that you don't waste any time getting a Montana plate, if you're from the West Coast, it's best to keep that to yourself and make sure to learn the lingo because nothing will say "transplant" quicker than butchering the names of towns, counties, and streets across The Treasure State.

Luckily for those willing to put in the time to study, there are resources to help, and a quick search on Google will go a long way from having an embarrassing moment or two.

As mentioned, several towns might be a little difficult for newcomers and one of the most mispronounced cities in the state is the town of Harve. For decades, folks new to the state have been saying it wrong, Located in the famous Montana "hi-line", Havre is the 8th biggest city in the state and is said to have received its name from a town in France.
