Montana Bar Named One Of The “Best Irish Pubs” In America

Now that we've made it to March, one of Montana's favorite holidays is just around the corner. Of course, we are talking about St. Patrick's Day.

Even if you don't have Irish heritage, most Montanans act like they do for at least one day a year. Now, when you think of St. Patrick's Day in Montana, you think of the town of Butte. Butte has the 2nd highest Irish population in the United States, and let's be honest, the people of Butte know how to throw a St. Patty's Day parade.

So when the Irish Star came out with a list of the "Best Irish Pubs in America", we wondered which Butte bar they would name.

Would they choose The Dublin? Or how about Maloney's? What about McGrath's or Spud McGee's?

You can imagine the shock when we discovered none of those iconic joints made the list.  In fact, according to the Irish Star, the best Irish Pub in Montana and one of the best in America isn't located in Butte. Blasphemy!

Now, let me just be clear to all my Butte friends. Before you send me hate mail and call me all kinds of names that I can't write here, keep in mind that I'm on your side. However, this isn't an opinion piece.

Which Montana town has one of the best Irish Pubs in America?

That would be the city of Kalispell. Brannigan's Pub in Kalispell has been named not only the best Irish Pub in Montana but one of the best in the United States. Brannigan's has been around since 2012 and according to their website focuses on three things.

• Authentic Irish Fare
• Good Drinks
• A Lively Pub Atmosphere

The menu has plenty to choose from and they also have live entertainment from time to time. The decor is beautiful and the staff is friendly so, if you're looking for the perfect place to feel a little Irish and live in the area, Brannigan's is most definitely worth checking out.
