Montana State’s Magical Football Season Continues
It was one thing when the Cats started off the season with a thrilling come-from-behind victory on the road against New Mexico. Then, we tied our record from 1964 for the best start in 60 years, and now we're in uncharted territory.
The Montana State Bobcats are 10-0 and football historians are saying this has never happened before.
Think about that for a moment. For a program that is 127 years old, this is the only time we've ever been 10-0. (It gives me goosebumps just writing that) Of course, the season isn't over, far from it. We still have a road came against UC Davis before we're back home to host the Griz in what is the biggest sporting event in the state, The Brawl of the Wild.
While many folks have circled November 23rd on their calendars and are searching the internet for someone who has tickets for sale, the truth is, the next big challenge happens this weekend.
Are the Cats ready for their next challenge?
The Cats are on the road and play a very tough UC Davis team. The same UC Davis team that put a whoppin' on the Griz in Missoula this past weekend with a final score of 30 to 14. So, when the Cats travel to California to take on the home team it will be a battle of two of the very best teams in the country.
The Cats are undefeated at 10-0 and UC Davis is 9-1. Both teams are in the Top 5 and with the Conference Championship still in play, they should be an absolute heavyweight battle. The game will be available on ESPN+ as well as 100.7 XL Country or the XL Country App.
So will the Cats continue their magical run? Will they leave California with an 11-0 record? I certainly wouldn't bet against them.
