Montana Restaurant Named One Of The Best In The Nation

Montana is filled with wonderful places to dine.

From fancy to down home, from burgers and bar-b-q to delicious steaks and America's oldest Chinese restaurant, Montana has you covered. But when it comes to some of America's finest dining establishments, maybe Montana doesn't always show up on the culinary radar, until now.

Over the last several years, Montana has seen substantial growth not only in population but also in world-class restaurants. In fact, one local restaurant was just named one of the very best in the entire country and it just happens to be in one of the most charming towns in the state.

According to the New York Times and their annual list of 50 Best Restaurants in America For 2023, only one Montana restaurant made the list.

So which restaurant made the list?  And what is their specialty? We'll let you know below the list of the 10 Best Comfort Foods in Bozeman.

It might come as a surprise to some that one of the best Italian restaurants in the country is not only located in Montana but is located in downtown Livingston. A favorite among locals and tourists alike, the restaurant that made the list was none other than Campione.

Campione has a Brunch and Dinner menu, as well as a Family Style menu that offers multiple courses.

Campione opened up back in 2020 during the height of the pandemic by three friends who have over 50 years combined in the food service industry. The restaurant is located at the corner of Main and Callendar in a historic building that was built back in the 19th century. The building has housed several different businesses over the last 100-plus years, and according to their website, the owners spent over 8 months restoring the building to pay tribute to the past.

Of course, Campione isn't the only fantastic restaurant in downtown Livingston.  The Rib and Chop House is top-notch, as is The Fainting Goat, The Mint Bar and Grill, and 2nd Street Bistro to name a few.
