There's something both beautiful and creepy about an old Ghost Town. As you walk around the old buildings, you can almost see the people who once walked the town streets. Families who had traveled hundreds and often thousands of miles in hopes of fulfilling their dreams.

They would often struggle just to make the journey, only to find out that the hard work was just beginning when they arrived.

Next up, Virginia City, Montana. It's no surprise that Montana's oldest city would make the list, however, I'm not nearly sure it would qualify as a "Ghost Town". Virginia City is ranked 6th on the list and is one of the most popular destinations in the state over the summer months. Whether it's the live entertainment or a stop at the candy or ice cream shop, a day spent in Virginia City is a good day.
