Planetary Parade / February 28th

It's exactly what it sounds like—a lineup of planets stretching across the sky! While it's not a perfect alignment (that rare event is called a syzygy), this celestial show is still a sight to behold.

Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, and Saturn will all be visible to the naked eye. If you want to catch a glimpse of Uranus and Neptune, you'll need a telescope. Don't miss this rare chance to see the solar system on display!

Total Lunar Eclipse / March 14th

Also known as a Blood Moon, this lunar eclipse will be visible across all of America. Unlike other moon phases—like the Blue Moon or Pink Moon—the Blood Moon actually takes on a deep reddish-orange hue.

The totality will last for 65 minutes, much longer than a brief solar eclipse. This phenomenon occurs when the full moon passes through Earth's shadow, scattering sunlight through our atmosphere and allowing only red wavelengths to reach the moon, creating its eerie glow.

Saturn At Opposition / September 21st

Saturn will shine at its brightest on September 21st, making it easily visible to the naked eye. If you have binoculars or a telescope, this is the perfect time to get a stunning view of the planet's massive rings.

But here's something even rarer—starting in March, for 44 days, Saturn will tilt to an angle that happens only once every 13 to 16 years, causing its iconic rings to completely disappear from view!
