If you were to pick your favorite Montana town, which one would you pick? Something bigger that has all of the options, or something smaller that is more charming and mom-and-pop? What if you could have both?

According to the folks at Cheapism, if you are looking to spend time in Montana this summer and you're on a budget, the best place to go is the city of Missoula.

What makes Missoula so great?

Well, there is plenty to do and see. Missoula has a great downtown area that includes lots of dinning and social options, plus there is lots of adventure just outside the city. The Bitterroot Valley is close, as is Flathead Lake. Not to mention that for the last several years it seems that Missoula gets the biggest summer concerts in the state.

Missoula has something for everyone, so if you are traveling solo, or with your family, there are options for everyone. Whether it is being out in nature, or something a little more modern.
