Have You Seen This Missing Montana Man?

On May 26th, some of, 33-year-old, Nathan Moore's personal belongings were found in a bear proof storage container, but Moore was not located. The bear proof container was located at the Blackmore Campground which is next to Hyalite Reservoir. Moore was originally reported missing on May 1st.

An extensive search of the area, using search dogs, drones, and boats was conducted by the Gallatin County Sherriff’s Search and Rescue team. During the search they were not able to locate Moore.

Currently there are over 100 open cases of missing persons in the state of Montana.

Forty-five indigenous people are missing in Montana right now. 20 of them have been missing for more than a year. Twenty-two are under the age of 18 and the youngest are two 5-year-olds who went missing in 2021 and 2022.

According to the Montana Missing Indigenous Persons Reporting Portal, Indigenous people are four times as likely to go missing in Montana.
