Startling Details About Alleged ‘Dog Killer’ in Montana
We all love our pets and would do anything for them. But sometimes, despite our best efforts, they go missing, leaving us with the heartbreaking reality that they may never come home.
This is one of those tragic stories—one without a happy ending. But by sharing it, we hope to help a grieving owner find some answers to the mystery.

Recently, a dog's body washed up along the Yellowstone River near Emigrant, a gunshot wound marking its tragic fate. This wasn't just any dog—it was Bandit, a beloved hound belonging to Laura Clem of Paradise Valley.
Bandit and his companion, Boone, went missing on January 13 while running the Sphinx Creek Trail near Corwin Springs. Now, Laura is reaching out to our community, searching for answers and hoping to find out who is responsible.
"They are dependent on their owners, and when you're not there to protect them, it's hard. And for somebody to intentionally hurt them, it's hard to understand... The dogs had GPS trackers on them; the tracker went dead that night. Or were turned off." - Laura Clem
Locals and friends searched the area where the dogs went missing but found no sign of them. After finding the shot body of Bandit, it's evident there was some type of malicious intent, and the dogs did not just run off.
Please, if you have any information regarding what may have happened to Bandit or Boone, Laura Clem is asking you to contact the Park County Sheriff's Office at (406) 222-2050.
