What Are The Most Popular Dog Breeds In Montana?
It's no secret that I love animals, and I have a special place in my heart for dogs. Jack Russell Terriers are my particular favorite, along with a good old mutt. We have both in our home and love them both equally.
The Jack Russell Terrier is a whole different ballgame when it comes to energy! I don't usually recommend this breed for most people because their high energy levels can lead to challenges, and sadly, many end up in shelters for that very reason. But let's be honest—no matter what breed you have at home, they’re always your favorite!

In Montana, there are many dog lovers, which is no surprise given the incredible outdoor recreation opportunities available in the area. Montana is the perfect place for hiking, and the communities are supportive of dog-friendly spaces.
Though Montana is fantastic for dog lovers in the warmer months, we do undoability have harsh winter months as well. When choosing a dog breed in Big Sky Country, it's important to consider how cold temperatures affect your pup. For example, you might want to choose a Huskey over a Hairless Terrier.
Fortunately, many Montanans take this into consideration, and we have data on the most popular dog breeds in the state.
