Nominate Your Student for a $3,000 Scholarship
Did you know that Mattress Firm has a scholarship program? Montana Mattress Firms have teamed up to award a worthy high school Junior or Senior a $3,000 college scholarship.
If you know a well-deserving Junior or Senior you can nominate them. Then weekly winners will be chosen and featured. All of the weekly winners will then be entered for the "grand prize" $3,000 scholarship spot. Last year the vote was so close, Mattress Firm made a spontaneous decision to add a second scholarship of $1,000!
Thinking of nominating a student? Here are some qualities they are looking for in a candidate for 2021:
- Work Hard - get good grades and study hard.
- Compete - you can compete in athletics, DECA, music, etc. It’s not just limited to sports!
- Be a Giver - help out your family/neighbors, community, volunteer, etc.
When a student is awarded as Student of the Week they will have a video or photo featured on the Mattress Firm website. Below is a local Bozeman High School student, Izzy Isley, who has already been recognized as a Student of the Week.
For 2020 Mattress Firm Montana Student of the Year and recipient of the $3,000 scholarship is Noelle Miller from Flathead High School. For the first time Mattress Firm had a runner up since the vote was so close. Tommy Mellott from Butte High School was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.
For 2019 Mattress Firm Montana Student of the Year and recipient of the $3,000 scholarship is Faith Edmister of Great Falls.
