Everyone has a few favorite foods, right?  That meal that you get excited about every time you have it?  Or maybe it's a special dish you set it aside for a special occasion?

For a whole lot of us, that special dish is Prime Rib.

Prime Rib is one of my personal favorites, however, and let's be honest here.  There is really good Prime Rib, and then there is Prime Rib which is just so so.  Typically, it's not a cheap dish, so if you're going to spend your hard-earned money, you want to make sure that you're getting the good stuff.

While there are several places where you can find Prime Rib in and around Bozeman, I thought I would put together a Top 4 list based on my and a couple of my co-worker's experiences.  So, without further ado, let's get to the list, shall we?

The Mint Cafe and Bar in Belgrade

First off, The Mint Cafe and Bar has an impressive menu and is a fantastic place to dine. Not only do they offer up some incredible hand-cut steaks, but their Prime Rib on Friday and Saturday nights is exceptional. Throw in some very yummy desserts and you're in for a great meal and a great time.

Stacy's Old Faithful Bar and Steakhouse in Gallatin Gateway

Stacey's not only has fantastic food but also boasts an incredible atmosphere. Since it first opened back in 1937, Stacey's has been and remains a real original. With live music, great drinks, and history that screams Montana, you can't go wrong stopping by Stacey's for a meal OR a good time. By the way, their Prime Rib Sandwich is a must-have.

Land of Magic Steakhouse in Manhattan

Most folks around are familiar with Land of Magic Steakhouse. When you think of traditional Montana Steakhouse, you certainly think of Land of Magic. From its rustic atmosphere to its big portions of food, you certainly can't go wrong with a meal here. Personally, I love the twice-baked potato, since when I'm ordering Prime Rib, that twice-baked potato is a must.

The Club Tavern and Grill in Bozeman

One of my favorite places to get breakfast is also one of my favorite places to eat Prime Rib and it's cooked just the way you like it. The Club Tavern and Grill just off of 19th and Baxter Lane is a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Oh and on a side note, my co-worker claims that they have the best Ranch dressing in town, so that's an added bonus.

Oh, and if you're anything like me and enjoy cooking at home, I thought I would throw this video up on how you can actually smoke your own Prime Rib if you have a pellet grill. I did this a few months back and it turned out pretty good.

Of course, these are our picks, but we would love to hear from you. When it comes to Prime Rib, where is your top choice to go in Bozeman and the surrounding area?
