According to a TikTok post that ranked the most beautiful lakes in each US State, when it comes to Montana, the prettiest lake is located in Glacier National Park. Lake McDonald, which is the largest lake in Glacier is a sight to behold, the lake which has a shoreline of 10 miles is almost 500 feet deep.
Lake McDonald, is famous for its "colored rocks" and is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. For those wanting to see the lake up close and personal, it's said that the best times to visit are between late June and early September. However, for those who would like to see Lake McDonald with the fall foliage, mid-September through mid-October is recommended.
