Whitefish is included on this list because if you love the outdoors and exploring, many locals will help you enjoy everything the area offers. Plus, the town is dog and family-friendly, with incredible shops, restaurants, and attractions around every turn.

I've been to Whitefish countless times, and the people there are incredibly kind and welcoming. It's a special place in Montana. The only other towns that could compare are either Philipsburg or Glasgow.

Both places are lovely and have kind folks walking around. Even with all the new folks in Montana, a few towns still treat everyone like family.
