What might surprise you is there are some zip codes where real estate prices will blow your mind.

Zillow collected a list of Montana's most expensive zip codes, and here are the Top Five.

  1. Gallatin Gateway- The average home price is $1.2 million. That is a 92% increase over five years. Many of the houses in the area are on large plots of land or ranches.
  2. Rollins- An area outside of Lakeside, the average home price is $1.1 million. That's a 110% increase over five years. It's a desirable location being on Flathead Lake.
  3. Chico- This area of Paradise Valley has an average home price of $979,000. Many who want to live away from cities and enjoy the beauty of Montana love this area.
  4. Big Arm- The average home price is $922,000. Big Arm sits in one of the many bays of Flathead Lake.
  5. Bozeman- Bozeman finally lands on this list with the average home price at $867,000. The housing market has slightly cooled in the area, but home prices are still astronomical.
